2013 June FLASH

June 19, 2013

Dear Friends,

We have exciting updates to share regarding two extraordinary Sacred Earth Community online events taking place in the next few days - one, on Sunday, that we announced last week, and a new, related event that will be live streamed on Friday, June 21.

1. Sunday, June 23: There is still time to register to participate, in person or online, for the FREE two-hour event at Trinity Church in NYC - "Sacred Earth Community: A Spiritual Narrative for the 21st Century." You can participate via the video webcast as an individual or, if you would like to view as a group and host a follow-on conversation, as a Partner site. After you register, you will receive additional information to support your online participation - log-on instructions, how to submit questions/comments during the webcast, two short pieces that set the stage for the panel discussion (including David's article, "A Sacred Story for Our Time"), and questions for follow-on conversations.

Update on the panel: David will join Barbara Marx Hubbard,Acharya Judith LiefRabbi Arthur Waskow, and Chung Hyun Kyung, who replaces The Rev. Richard Cizik, who had to withdraw. They will share their insights about how our framing narratives shape society, and how remembering and raising broad public awareness of a unifying framing spiritual story might lead the way to much needed transformation.

2. Friday, June 21: The Trinity webcast event on Sunday is an extension of another gathering this week, where David will join 200 faith/spiritual and social leaders, authors, activists, and ecologists in NYC for two days of conversations focused on a Sacred Earth Community narrative, hosted by the Contemplative Alliance, a program of the Global Peace Initiative of Women (GPIW).We received notice, today, that the entire Friday program, 9:00am - 5:30pm (Eastern) will be live streamedJoin us for all or part of the program; simply visitwww.ustream.tv/channel/gpiw, when time permits.
